A very simple one where we need not worry about the end point.

INGREDIENTS
Besan 21/2 cups
Sugar. 11/4 cups
Mawa. 1cup (unsweetened)
Ghee. 3/4 cup
Milk1/4 cup
Saffron little dissolved in 2 tsp of milk
Cardamom powder 1 tsp
Almonds powdered for garnishinggarnishing or pistachios.as I had only salted ones I substituted by almonds.pista gives a rich look.

METHOD
If we don't have mawa
Ghee 3tsp
Milk 1/4 cup
Milk powder 2 cups
Taka a kadai add the ghee nd milk till it melts now add the milk powder,mawa is ready.
Now take the remaining ghee add the milk heat till it melts,then add the besan and mawa fry in a slow fire till nice aroma comes.
This step is very important as it takes 10 to 15 minutes
Cool it
Take a another heavy bottomed vessel add the sugar and pour 1/4 cup water. Add the saffron which is mixed with two tsp of milk and cardamom powder.Make a two string consistency quite a thick syrup.add the warm mixture and mix itwell.Pour it on a greased thali.Now sprinkle the nutsnuts.Let it cool.Cut into desired shape when it is warm.Store it in a tight container once it is cooled.Soft and tasty Mohandal is ready!!!!
